Mc Menamins Queen Anne
After creating a successful, microbrew pub empire in Portland, the McMenamin brothers brought their techniques to Seattle. They've opened three consciously cozy pubs here, this one on lower Queen Anne Hill, Six Arms Brew Pub and Dad Watson's . The long, dark room has high-backed booths and tables. Order the soup of the day with a sandwich and a pint and you're set for the afternoon. The wait staff won't hurry you out. Also try the daily cake and pie specials.
Short answer: Dad Watson's is better. Long answer: This place is part of the same chain that has Dad Watson's in Fremont. The decor is a similar style (which I like) and they have the same microbrews, but this place is smaller than Dad Watson's, doesn't have tv's to watch a game like Dad Watson's does, and I don't think the food in general is quite as good. Their fries could be crispier. But they do have some very good appetizers. Children are allowed on the right side of the place.
