Service was great, food not so much. My crab salad was very plain - not quite what I expected, especially given the price.

This was our first dinner on our month long trip to the west coast. We sat at the bar so I could sample some of the microbrews on tap. We were there for happy hour and we sampled several, (6) appetizers being offered. What a great variety of local seafood. It set the bar very high from the outset, and ended up as one of the top six restaurants of our trip.

Took some out of town business associates for dinner. The atmosphere was very nice, the wait staff extremely professional, and the food was fantastic. It has become my new, favorite downtown eatery.

Perfect finish to a night a Benaroya Hall. We are planning to finish our upcoming Nutcracker at the royal McCaw Hall with The Brooklyn. As I have given 5 stars to The Met and Daniel's Broiler I had to give Brook the 4 star though they deserve a 5. I am certain my next review will be unless they manage to destroy the perfection of service, food, and atmosphere with which we were served recently. I see this as highly unlikely and look forward to our next experience merveilles dujour.

Best Copper River Salmon in Seattle

Wonderful restaurant with terrific location. Pricey, but better value than you'll get at McCormick's and the other high end seafood chains. Go from May to June for excellent Copper River Salmon. They don't overcook it like most and it's so good you have to make reservations for it, sometimes a week in advance.

Liked everything about this place. Adult dining. Elegent setting and wonderful food. Great presentation of food. First time sat at the bar overlooking the cooking area, great fun to see how food was prepared.

Love the Kiwi Krusher

I was just in town on business 7/30-8/1 and we loved the Brooklyn. It wasn't busy at all the first night we went in, however, Colin, the bartender was very good company and his drinks were amazing. I never thought I would like Kiwi mixed w/alcohol..but I LOVED IT! We even went back the second night for some more of the same...unfortunately we had a different bartender but the crowd was great and the drinks were still wonderful...I definitely plan to come back!

worst hostess in town

I think the restaurant is great, food is perfect, location is ideal. But they have the worst hostess ever. She was really rude and unprofessional. I have also noticed she is very laud and hard to understand due to thick accent. I hope they hire someone better and well suited to that position.

Reliably Wonderful

When we want to go somewhere that is reliably wonderful, this is our first choice. It's not super innovative or gorgeous, but everything is cooked perfectly and it's so reliable that the whole is greater than the individual parts. Highly recommended! I'm a vegetarian who eats little fish, and they have only one vegetarian entree (a portobello mushroom) but it's always super yummy, rich, and matched with interesting sides.
