The good: The house martinis and manhattans are great and inexpensive. The food is a decent value for the money in that neighborhood.
The bad: It's crowded
The ugly: Came in for lunch, and my girlfriend brought a half finished latte in. The server stood over her and ordered her to finish it before she would take our order! The nerve! Guess what she got for a tip...
I miss the steak fries.I love Vons. Mainly for thier lunch menu and their steak sandwiches. However I don't like their choice of those new fries which are warm chips. Or crisps as the British call them. Bring back those steak fries!!!!!!!!!!! Other than that, the atmosphere is great,the location is great ( park at the Meridian cinema's NOT Pacific place).
Although the srvice is not what it used to be, it's still a great spot to stop for a martini on the way home from work or shopping, especially when you can sit outside and watch the people go by & buy downtown.
