Description

The food at Wild Ginger spans the Pacific Rim from China to Indonesia. We pride ourselves on offering traditional dishes from these distinctive regions and insist on house-made ingredients. Chefs make spicy chili sambals, fresh coconut milk, delicate egg noodles, and our pungent oyster sauce all from scratch. To achieve the sublime flavors of the East, there is no substitute for the time-honored customs of these rich and ancient cultures. *reservations for parties of 7 or more, please give us a call at 206-623-4450.

Over Priced!
By ,
I consider myself a pretty good cook and I was quit disappointed With the quality if the food they were serving. Wild Ginger is one of Seattles top restaurants so they need to really work on the food they serve. Maybe its just me but I dont think so

Good food and decent service
By ,
I frequently visit Wild Ginger for dinner, and I must say that the food is delicious with an exotic Asian twist, but the service was poor. It took us nearly half an hour to get seated, and our host spoke to my wife and I as if we were troubling her by wanting to eat at the restaurant. Our waitress also failed to ensure that we had everything we needed. If you are looking for good Asian food, I'd recommend this restaurant, but the service needs improvement. The restaurant is also a little dark and gloomy, and it makes you want to fall asleep.

Great For Lunch
By ,
We went to lunch after going to the Seattle Art Museum and had a great time. I had the pre-fix lunch with Pot Stickers ( great flavor ) Pork Steak ( Perfectly cooked ), Green Beans ( Nice Spice ) and rice ! All for $12.99. Great price for a lot of food ! The wait staff was pleasent and quick. Great choice of Teas available. Beautiful resturant.... Go You'll Love It !!!

Great place!
By ,
This is better than most restaurants in LA. The food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is pleasant and so are the waiters.

What a meal!!!
By ,
I was in Seattle from out of state for a Mariner's game and looking for a good restuarant within walking didstance of my hotel. I heard about the Wild Onion and went. WOW!! The menu was varied and offered lots of choices. I started with the green papaya salad which was unbelieveably good. Being allergic to gluten in wheat, rye, and barley always makes eating out a challenge. I was pleasantly pleased by the staffs' knowledge of what dishes were ok to eat and their willingness to accomodate me. My husband and I were able to split the dishes too. The service we received was top notch. I wouldn't hesistate to go back next year.

my favorite restaurant ever
By ,
Wild Ginger is awesome. The menu is nouveau pan-Asian, and everything is utterly delish. The most fun is to order several dishes and share so you can taste everything. For a small group of 3-4 people, I usually start with either the Vietnamese spring rolls (the fresh kind, not fried) or a soup - I've tried and enjoyed the laksa (a spicy Malaysian bouillabaise) and the sweet potato and squash stew. Then I get a few small plates from the satay bar (mushroom, scallops, eggplant, lamb, ...) plus 2-4 main dishes to share. Among the main dishes, the duck with steamed buns is absolutely incredible. I also love the Panang beef curry, the Seven flavor beef, and the Monk's curry (veggie).... Actually, I think I love everything on the menu. If you go on a weekend, you definitely need reservations. Also, many people don't know there's an upstairs - it's quieter and great for a romantic date. There's also a great music club called the Triple Door on the lower/basement level - the early shows are all-ages but the later shows are 21 and up. Oh, and one more perk of going to Wild Ginger - it's famous enough that you see celebrities there all the time.

great chow
By ,
The kitchen's consistency, the authenticity of the food and the use of top-notch ingredients are among the restaurant's strengths. can't resist starting with an assortment of satay: skewered grilled chicken, beef, prawns, lamb, even rabbit arrive glistening with a different marinade, seldom overcooked, each with its own intriguing dipping sauce.

Really fast service, excellent spicy (super hot) clams and satay. Seated in less than two minutes after arrival.
