Description

The food at Wild Ginger spans the Pacific Rim from China to Indonesia. We pride ourselves on offering traditional dishes from these distinctive regions and insist on house-made ingredients. Chefs make spicy chili sambals, fresh coconut milk, delicate egg noodles, and our pungent oyster sauce all from scratch. To achieve the sublime flavors of the East, there is no substitute for the time-honored customs of these rich and ancient cultures. *reservations for parties of 7 or more, please give us a call at 206-623-4450.

If you visit Seattle you just must go to Wild Ginger. I recommend you try... - Saigon scallop - Laksa - Lamp bumba - Dungeness crab - Chinese oolong tea

Love Wild Ginger
By ,
The staff are the best, the food impeccable, and the decor is quite stylish. Highly recommend this joint next time your in downtown Seattle. It's not super cheap, but you won't walk away feeling cheated.

Not so good like magazine rated
By ,
A lot of newspaper, websites and magazine said wild ginger is the good place, but I felt a little disappointed.

Overrated

Living near Seattle, we had heard of the Wild Ginger. We were disappointed in the food. Our experience was that the food and ambience were very overrated. Not a very good value.

Fantastic Bartender
By ,
Wild Ginger is a must visit restaurant in Seattle. If you prefer sitting at the bar, ask for Paul Brown who in my estimation, is the consummate bartender. He makes you feel comfortable with his great personality and he provided us with excellent service.

great food and atmosphere
By ,
our friends told us about this place and highly recommended it. we loved it and we would go back again if we are in town. the decor has a modern-loft appeal and our table on the 2nd floor was intimate but not secluded. the food was wonderful and our waiter was helpful and jocose.

My favorite restaurant in Seattle
By ,
I have lived in Seattle my whole life is this restaurant is my favorite. There are many reasons. the first and most important is the food is fantastic, and this is coming from a professional chef. my favorite dish is the duck, i have had duck in many different forms and with differnt sauces. the sauce that is served accents the duck, of course eaten with the parsely and the other accompaniments, makes this dish distinguished above the rest. the ambiance of the restaurant is great as well. one thing the i love about the place is that you can come for any kind of occasion. there are people from smart casual all the way to black tie. i have come to the restaurant for everything from dinner after a performance at Benaroya, to having lunch or dinner with a friend, to even having my birthday there last year. the staff and service is great as well. even before i became one of their regulars (i go from 1-5 times a week) the waiter/ess were always asking me if everything is all right and if i needed aanything. the thing i notice is that they come and check on you at the right times. not to many, so as to think their the hawk and your a mouse. but still enough so you don't think you've been forgotten. they are also very nice, and sincere, if you strick up a conversation (and of course their not too busy) they always love to have a quick chat. the one down side is the price. though this is always overlooked by the food taste and presentation, the ambiance, and of course the staff. i have been goingto this restaurant since i was a child, that's before they were at the 3rd ave spot.

memorable for young son
By ,
My 5 year old son and I dined at wild ginger on a sunday night. We were surprised when the wine captain came and told my son to come with him, so we followed. He took us to the huge bustling kitchen. He took my son to the back and showed him the live crabs and lobsters. It was so awesome for my son to experience that. Thank you! We also had a great waitress and a wonderful meal. The spicy clams are yummy!
