Le Pichet

Description

No plane tickets, but longing for some joie de vivre? Le Pichet nourishes your inner Francophile without the jet lag. Pop in anytime for a cafe au lait at the elegantly fluted tin-topped bar, or arrange a luncheon rendezvous for some creamy sweet garlic soup with asparagus and poached egg. For dinner, order the country pate and nibble on baguette while waiting for the signature roasted chicken for two (takes 1 hour). Framed blackboards announce daily specials, cheese selections and desserts. Wine served by the glass, demi-pichet, pichet (pichet=pitcher) or bottle makes it easy to sample several intriguing options.

Worst service I have ever had the misfortune to experience. We were served bitter coffee, espresso made correctly is NEVER bitter, runny unset yogurt (according to the table next to us they were informed by their waitress that the yogurt was not being served that day because it did not setup) and the waitress after repeating our order back to us when she took it did not bring the entire order to our table.

The atmosphere will transport you to Paris. I love this place for a simple bite of classic French food and a glass of wine, but I still find it a struggle to fork over $30 for a simple roast chicken.

One of the loveliest, most authentically Gallic spots in town. The cheese and charcuterie plates are divine, and for breakfast the Ouefs Plats will cure any indiscretions from the night before. Fantastic wines by the glass or pichet.

Such a sweet little French Cafe. We love Le Pichet for their Oysters and Sausages, not to mention simple baguette sandwiches.

As close to Paris as you can come at Pike Place Market. The olives alone make a stop worthwhile.

It's like being in France, or at least one of those old French movies.

Perfect place to have a long and delicious lunch on your day off. Feels like a european cafe. They have delicious food and a great drink selection.
