Say 3 1/2 stars. Some items are very good, as in the reuben when available, and the fish tacos. Some are less so, as the meatloaf sandwich and Eggs Benedict. Service is generally good, with a friendly and attentive waitstaff. The bar appetizers are huge, but so-so. In general a bit more formal atmosphere with American food better than most of its rivals-but you do pay for it.
Wow, has this place changed, I have been going to Hector's since the eighty's and just moved back into town, I can't believe the remodel, it looks great and the food is a decent price with alot of selections to choose from. If you haven't been to the remodeled Hector's check it out for yourself.
Brunch at Hector's is fantastic! They have a great selection of the classic breakfast dishes along with some twists if you want to sway from the norm a little. They have 3 big screen TV's, 2 in the bar and 1 in the back room, so sports viewing can be a lively event from their comfortable chairs and warm fires! We'll go back as often as we can!!
The menu at Hector's includes many favorite all American dishes with a few novelty items for the adventurous spirit, however, regardless of your choice of entree, every dish is prepared fresh with attention to the finest details. Their recipes still include spice and flavor without having caved to the bland canned pre-mixed foods of many other restaurants. The ambience is warm, inviting and friendly in a casual yet classy manner. Hector's is our family favorite restaurant!
Hectors is a great restaurant with an extensive menu and good price points. The Thai peanut salmon is great and a staple of mine whenever I go in. The only problem with Hectors is the service can be very hit or miss. Sometimes the service is amazingly slow when it doesn't appear very busy. Other times the service is quick, which only makes for a better expierence. Nothing beats Hectors during the summer months when everyone is out walking around and the front windows are open to the sidewalk, just be prepared for slow service some of the time.
