This is a gem of a restaurant. Was very fortunate to have a friend take me to lunch there while on vacation in Washington. Their split pea soup was phenomenal and their apple crisp was fabulous. The staff is friendly and the restaurant itself is cozy and quaint. Will return to The Boarding House on my next visit to Washington!
Sit back and relax while you have a sandwich and a boul of soup. I feel like part of the family. The owners are a bit cooky, its an old house, the line is usually out the door between noon & 1pm, the Potato dill soup and the Ruben sandwich are great. Ask for the last bottle of Jones soda.
