This is candlelight dining with a view of owner/chef Walter Walcher in his open kitchen. He usually works with a partner, and their tandem efforts can become mesmerizing. Walcher nurtures loyal customers and makes new ones quickly. Customers of every ilk, from businesspeople to romancing couples, fill the cozy booths. Everyone raves about the Garlic Lamb. Vegetarian options include pastas and exquisite dishes with wild mushrooms. Walcher has a growing reputation for mushroom mastery. And there's always cake for dessert. The restaurant is smoke free.
We have frequented Tosoni's for the past 20 years and have always recommended it highly.
However, after our last dinner, we never expect to go back. We didn't have reservations but the place was practically empty, except for one large table & we were seated right next to this garish bunch. We were practically ignored & our waiter was incompetent. We were in the mood for pasta and the two pasta dishes we had were like what one would expect from the frozen food section of the grocery store.
I live near by and read the reviews. I thought I would find a diamond in the rough.
The food is good but very simple. The prices are outrageous. If you are looking for old and boring clientele, you got it.
I will not be going back.
I was in the area for a business trip and my sister tagged along. Read reviews about the place and decided it was a go. What a great decision we made, food and service was outstanding. Enjoyed our meal, was not rushed and would definetly make it a must for our next trip up.
This was a fantastic experience. The food was beyond compare, the service was friendly and competent, the ambiance was absolutely amazing. It was a bit pricy, but well worth every penny! I can't wait to go back, just make sure you have a reservation!
Great food and the owner Walter is friendly and fun to talk to. His wife Wendy is also very friendly and most of the time, she stays in the kitchen and Walter walked around and chatting with his customers.
I have been eating at Tosoni's for twenty years. The food is consistently excellent and the small dining area is charming. You can bring in your own wine and Walter will happily serve it to you, but their wine collection is also very good. The menu though small always has diverse and excellent seasonal choices. This place is tops on my list.
From the red walls, ceiling and booths to the white tablecloths, this restaurant offers old school Italian decor, if you
