Steak and eggs, hash browns and gravy, half the restraunt is a bar
and there are bullet holes in the ceiling. No sawdust on the floor, sorry,
this place is too authentic to cater to such a cliche.
Bend, Oregon has a rather healthy nightlife, in more ways than one.
Not only are the restraunts and bars packed, indicating healthy
buisnesses, many menu items are Atkins oriented, if not down-
right Vegan! Most of the sit-down meals cost upwards of $15 bucks.
Not at the D&D, they're menu caps at a $12 T-bone, cut with the
proper marbling, I promise, a well done steak will melt in your
mouth, this is the menu item that our distinguished reviewer chose
The ambience of the place is, how does one put it, old school. In fact,
the place oughta be preserved by the local historical society as a
cultural hold out, although in that sense, things arn't what they used
to be, there just arn't many loggers or bikers left in the area.
Don't worry, the staff is friendly as well as sanitary.
It's open from 5:30 in the morning until 2 the next morning, so
there is no need to rush, unless your worried the building will be
sold before you get a chance to enjoy the last non-yippie cousine
in downtown Bend, it is in fact for sale. Check it out!
