This was suppost to be a fun trip that I was to take w/ my family, BUT it turned out to be the worst trip EVER! We decided to eat at the Outback Steakhouse. No big deal. That's when things started to go wrong. First, it took over an hour to get a table! then, when we finally got seated, the waitress was very slow. she came to our table every 15 minuets! we had to wait forever to order, and when the restrant was ready to close, we finnaly got our food about 1 hour or more after we ordered. this is bad enough as it is, but we had a diabetic with us! they could of killed her!!!!! when the food did arrive, it was cold, and smelled and tasted of cigarettes. If I could, I'd give the place a -5 stars!
I do agree with some of the reviews but I have not given up hope yet. The service has not been what it used to be, very slow and not as friendly but the wait time to get seated is about the same. As for the food, I Guess inconsistant would best describe it probably 50/50. Has anyone noticed the menu items are named more traditionally rather than the fun Aussie names? Anyway, try to get there between 4:30pm & 6:00pm and the wait and service should be better, after that take snack to keep your strength up.
I totally agree that the food and service have declined to a new low. Outback ads look great and the reality of our Outback restaurant in Bend is that it is the worst. you would be better served to get McDonalds than Outback here in Bend. We went there a few weeks ago and it is the last time I am going. Kayo's Roadhouse in Bend is really bad food too, but it is now better than Outback!
We go to outback every 6 months or so but we have noticed a huge downturn. Table wait is abnormally long and the service has really dropped off. Once we sat down it took 15 mins for the appetizer and then another 20 for the second. Our order took well over 1 hour to arrive and my oder was wrong. After complaining, our waitress gave us a free blooming union. Shesh. We were at the resturant for 3 hours. No wonder the table wait was long. When you have to wait over an hour for food, you cant turn a table. I say pass.
