My wife and I have been going to Yukon's for nearly ten years, in fact we first met there. We've danced to live music from local bands and have enjoyed the many regulars, both newer and older that have been returning there for all the same reasons as we do.
Aside from the Saloon/lounge side of Yukons, there is an excellent resturant section that prepares the best steaks in the area. We've found the owners very friendly and inviting yet intent on keeping trouble makers at check and invited to leave if they persist on becoming even the slightest problem. Yukon's really tries to keep it's establishment free of troublesome patrons in order to maintain a pleasant, relaxing and fun invirement. With all the above being said, I might add prices are reasonable to. With Happy Hour on well drinks and several daily food specials, one can eat, drink, enjoy the rustic north western friendly feel from local personalities who stop by regurlarly to tell their stories. I hope we live many more years and plan to include Yukon Jack's Restraunt and Saloon in all of them.
Dude here,I liked this place better than a couple of the higher priced grills in town. The decore is rustic, the service was friendly,my cow was burnt just right ( ribeye) and seasoned well.I would recommend this eatery for a good down home meal.
I just want to say that my boyfriend took me out for my 48th birthday. It was supose to be very special. I ordered the Prime Rib and he had the Salmon. I ordered my dinner med rare.. When I recieved it, it was well done and very tough. I only took one bit. Asked the waitress to send it back. Next thing I know the owner came back with my plate and was telling me that it was cooked right. He also explained if I cut into the middle it would be the way I wanted it...Who eats the middle of a prime rib and then leave the rest? I told him I did not want it that way and he took it back. I did not order anything else. And then we went to pay our bill and the OWNER said we had to pay for a meal I did not even eat. I do not recomend this place to anyone. Who treats people like this????????
Jack's is a great place for live local rock music on Thursday-Saturday evenings, and Karyoky on Sundays. My girl and I go over for steak and beer post a hard day at work, or hard day motorcycling. Its is a stop for old bikers; meaning family bikers, retired bikers, even wanna be bikers just wanting to drool as they come in. Thus, its a guy bar without the meat market. Pool tables, darts, (both with turnaments if you care), steak and potatoes (no vegies here, its a guy place, remember), with NAS Car on the wide screen. Not for everyone, but an experience to have fun with at the very least.
Yukon's serves a nice steak, most of the time, and their other food is average. Slightly over priced, but the atmosphere is enjoyable. And this can be a pleasant place to go with the family for a night out. The best time to go is in the evening. There is often a band in the bar, and not much wall between the bar and restaraunt, so you can hear the band quite well while eating with your family. Good fun bar music really makes the deal for me. And the kids like to get out of the booth, and dance next to the table.
