Adobe Resort - Oregon
The Adobe Restaurant is part of a resort that is situated in the quiet village of Yachats, located on the central Oregon Coast. A two tiered dining room allows for a view of awe inspiring sunsets and torrential storms sitting just 50 feet from the Pacific Ocean s edge. Our restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and appetizers in our lounge. We have a wide variety of cuisines to choose from on our menu, with nightly specials of fresh fish and hand-cut steaks.
I haven't had this good a time in a long time. Me, my wife and 2 kids stayed here with another couple and their son in one of the suites. We were on the ground floor and had instant beach access. The suite had 2 rooms with 2 queen size beds, 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen and a HUGE living room. 1400 sqft of vacation fun. There was internet access, a tv (with dvd player) in every room.
I woke up every morning and I would open up the curtains and watch the waves break on the rocks, make coffee and then make breakfast. I think we spent $200 on groceries and just cooked all our meals. I like to cook and everything in the kitchen was great. It would have been excellent if there were better steak knives.
The walking trail was great. It was about a mile to the sandy beach but well worth the walk. We were there for 3 days and we took almost 400 pictures. Sunset was beautiful.
They also have an indoor pool, spa, kid pool (18 inches at its deepest), sauna, and gym.
As we were driving home, we realized that we accidentally left a really expensive kite back at the room. We turned around to go get the kite. I tried to convice everyone that we should just forget our real lives and just stay for another week...but NO...they wanted to be responsible. Oh well. That just gives us more reason to come back sooner.
I'd say about six or seven years ago while vacationing and traveling the Pacific Coast we came across the Adobe Resort. We've been going back ever since.
The view, restaraunt, beach access, and affordability are the main reasons we like it so much. We also like that it's a quiet town and not too crowded.
The rooms are getting a little worn and some of the rooms on the ground floor are in need of some deep cleaning. But you can't really stay any where else and be able to open your sliding glass door and step out on to the beach. So a little dirt on the carpet maybe should be expected.
Nice hotel perched on the edge of the beach with dramatic waves crashing against the rocks.
Almost all the rooms have a view... we were lucky and had a fireplace, view, and plenty of birds and sea life.
Yachats is a very quaint little town...loved it.
Definately will go back!
I've stayed at the Adobe every year for more than 10 years now. It's my most favorite palce on the Oregon coast to go. The scenery is beautiful. There's a walking trail which starts at the hotel and winds it's way through the trees and bluffs and ends at a sany beach. You'll see the best of the Pacific Ocean here. The hotel's restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, the service is great and the staff has always been very accomodating. Enjoy the swimming pool, or the jacuzzi tub in your room. The winter months are awesome here as you can watch the waves crash upon the huge rocks just outside your room window. Can you tell I'll be back time and again? Thanks Adobe for all the wonderful times past and future.
Great location, right on the beach and by tidal pools. The hotel is nice, especially the new jacuzzi rooms. The restaurant has amazing ocean views, the foods ok, but the view is the best. Also has a bar in the resturant.
Great views, lovely rooms and good flld and service but the beds were awful. My wife and I coupld hardly sleep on them they were so stiff - like sleeping on the floor. Also, our friends in the next room agreed with our opinion about the beds. It took us a couple of hours to loosen up after a night on those beds.
While the staff was friendly and the views were great, the rooms are simply not worth the price. That being said, we were there for a spectacular wedding (that actually took place elsewhere) and the wedding couple did such a fantastic job of planning everything else, I can only assume they picked the best hotel they could get for their wedding guests.
The restaurant was decent if not spectacular with some tasty seafood dishes and a commendable wine list.
Beautiful ocean view. Wonderful beach. Resteraunt is superb. We have been going back for many years! Nicely furnished rooms. Great service. People are friendly and helpful to make your visit a good experience.
