If you want a good breakfast selection and decent breakfast hours, go instead to The Adobe down the road a half mile. Excellent service and selection there, in contrast to the unpleasantness you can encounter at the Drift Inn.
In a vacation spot like Yachats, many visitors eat breakfast later in the morning. Arriving at 11:00 am was not early enough to still get breakfast at the Drift Inn, though the breakfast menus were still on the tables and we had spent 5 minutes perusing it. The waitress came up and took the menus out of our hands and said breakfast service was over. We asked if they could slip us in, as we really wanted breakfast and had been there for 5 minutes reviewing the breakfast menu -- they said no. We said ok and as we stood to leave, another waitress made a snide comment that we wouldn't have any luck finding breakfast in Yachats at that time. She was rude and wrong. We went to The Adobe and were provided with a wonderful view, a good meal, and friendly staff.
Discovered this restaurant on a recommendation from a local business as we were sightseeing and were wonderfully surprised at the quality of the food! Our family of four first had lunch there and found the crab pizza, crab quesidilla and crab melt sandwich were unbelievably good. We had a fun waiter by the name of Jason who gave us great service and some good recommendations from the menu. We came back the next night for dinner and the seafood lasagne was terrific. Jason also recommended a steak that was really tasty and cooked to perfection. We were entertained by the sounds of a local band, as well. Great atmosphere in the warm, cozy dining room. We now have a new favorite place to go when we visit the Oregon coast and we highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.
