I have never had a bad meal at Ciccarelli's. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Chicken Gorgonzola Fettucini. It is served with thinly sliced green apples and it is a wonderful combination. The salad and French onion soup is awesome as well. Good service has been hit or miss, but most times it is good. I recommend Ciccarelli's to anyone who likes fantastic made to order food in a relaxed yet quaint atmosphere.
I moved to Coos Bay about 6 months ago from a larger city, with numerous fine dining experiences available. When my friends come to visit, I take them to Ciccarelli's. The food is fantastic, the waiter, who has served me on almost every occasion, was knowledgeable, courteous, and funny. I appreciated his wit and he did everything possible to make it a fantastic dining experience. The rib eye steaks were cooked to perfection. The drinks were amazing, and the desserts worth every calorie. I had the opportunity to meet Chef Ciccarelli and his genuine passion for his food and engaging manner was a wonderful thing to see. Ciccarelli's a wonderful restaurant with charm and atmosphere. It is the only place I make sure I take anyone who visits me.
What a dissapointment this place is. We had a reservation for 9 adults, my wife and I were the first ones to arrive. We were seated in a back room which was dark and cold with empty booz bottles on a shelf. 20 minutes later a waitperson came back and offered to bring us water.aproximatly 20 minutes later a waiter I think came up told us the specials and took orders very quickly and rudly then walked off. An hour and a half later our dinners came out to the table, I had a salad and steamer clams,,, we spent just over 2 1/2 hours in there and will never go back. It is highly over priced for the area, $22 to $26 dollars for an entree in this area??$12.50 for a salad?? $6.50 for a lemon drop??? I would not reccomend this place in anyway shape or form. None of our group were happy with it at all. Too bad because it could be a cute place.

My wife and I went to Ciccarelli's for the first time a few months ago. Let me say this, we are both avid foodie's and have discriminating tastes. We went there and both ordered the rib-eye steak. It arrived piping hot and grilled to perfection. Along with the superbly cooked green beans and garlic mash, it was phenominal. It was served with terrific fresh baked bread that is to die for. The young guys running the place were personable and entheusiastic. They also had great nightly specials that started at $10.00. I just can't praise this place enough. Anyone in the area should go check it out.
This is my restuarant of choice in the Bay Area. Every meal I have ever had prepared at Ciccarelli's was wonderful. This is where I always bring out-of-town friends and family. It is NOT the place to go if you are in a hurry because this restaurant allows you to take your time over your meal. There are no waiters standing over you trying to hurry you out the door so they can go home early. Ciccarelli's has wonderful wine selections. My favorite dinner is the New York Steak Gorgonzola served with a pasta side. My sister loves the steamed clams. The filet is wonderful and tender enough to cut with a fork. The Rosemary scewered prawn appetizer is great. The Pork Pear is incredibly tender. The French Onion soup and Raspberry vinagarette salad comes with each meal. I always finish each meal with the Lavender Creme Brulle. All in all, the best place in this area to eat.
Oh heck, I eat here frequently! It's one block from work so we walk up for meals, but the convenient location wouldn't matter if the food and service weren't great. The waiters are friendly and accomodating, and Jarod is particularly witty. The food comes quickly, and there is always the wonderful homemade bread. I did read the review by Mary, and I don't know what happened on that occasion, but it is not the norm. This restaurant certainly beats Hilltop House, Portside, Oyster Cove and any of the other local restaurants in this particular catagory. Porto's used to be good, but the service has deteriorated to the point that we won't go back. When we want a good meal, alone or with friends, it's Cicarelli's.
Superb meals prepared impeccably! Our party of six was seated immediately on a busy Friday at 7 pm. Do not miss the appetizing steamer clams! We ordered entrees from salmon to pork, and steak to pasta. All diners raved about their food-generous portions served with wonderful appeal to all senses. Being red wine fans, we really enjoyed the malbec recommended to us. Desserts were delicious, too- especially the outstanding chocolate mousse and the luscious lavender crème Brule. Service was excellent. Visit Ciccarelli's for an unforgettable dining experience-we'll be returning often.
