Applebee's, Springfield

I made reservations for 25 of my daughters friends, it was her and a friends birthday. We arrived at 8pm and waited for half an hour to be seated. We finally had water served at 9pm. It took forever to get our food and because they didn't have our tables ready in time we were late to another venue we'd planned for my daughter. I'll never plan another party there.

We celebrated our 33rd anniversary this weekend by going out of town (Newport) and when we came back we went to our local Applebee's. Tuesday night, great food, friendly service. We ordered Oriental Chicken Salad, Applebee's Ribliets. after hearing what we wanted, our waitress she suggested we order their 2 for $20 deal, which included Spinach & Artichoke Dip. Everything was delicious. Wish we could remember the waitress' name. For casual dining in Springfield, this Applebee's can't be beat.

My boyfriend's brother was in town and we all stopped for a bite at applebees. I used to be a huge fan of applebees when I lived in Tacoma, WA. But at this one I have not nearly been as satisfied. I love the half price appetizer deal...so we ordered two half price appetizers and shared around - we got the nachos and the sliders. I had a kiwi margarita on the rocks which was pretty good - my boyfriend and his brother ordered a mango margarita and both did not like it and didn't even finish their drinks. The nachos tasted really salty and it seems like last time there was way more toppings on them. I also didn't like the cheese on them, just because it tasted so fake. The salsa and pico de gallo were very good though. We didn't finish the nachos though just because they were too salty and not very good. The sliders came with no toppings except for cheese and onions, last time they came with stuff to put on them, like lettuce/tomato. One of the sliders didn't even have any cheese on it. Won't be going back here anytime soon.

I love this Appplebees! The food is always good and most of the bartenders are super cool and take good care of us.

We asked for water when we were seated and it arrived after our dinner. We did not get silverware or napkins, we asked for napkins and never got them. (We had finger food and did not need the silverware, but we should have been given silverware.) We got the check and put our card on the edge of the table, the server went by two times and 15 minutes passed before he took care of the check. The food was bland and over priced. I want my time and money, back we will never go to Applebee's again.
