The food was excellent, but the service was slow and the waitress seemed to be busy with other people. We had to ask several times for different items that she should have brought with her. We will go back, and see if the service has improved.
There was a wait for a table, but only about half an hour, on a Saturday evening, on a walk-in basis, which I didn't consider unreasonable at all.
Once seated, the service was good, the food was excellent and very reasonably priced.
I can't wait to return to Oregon for another meal at this restaurant... it far outweighs any fish restaurant in the U.K. and well worth a return visit or two, maybe.
I think the both of us probably managed to munch through almost four courses, although we did share one dish. I had a glass of wine and both of us coffee. It was delicious... fresh and full of flavour. There was just about every type of fish and shellfish you could ever wish for ... oh, what a delight for a fish-lover.
The desserts too... I chose Key Lime Pie which tasted really strongly of lime, and was tangy... just how it should be. Yum!
The seating too is well arranged for many different groups.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant to any of my English friends who may be visiting the States, as I believe it is a chain restaurant and in many States.
Go there guys!!! You won't be sorry!
I have eaten at the Salem Red Lobster several times. There has always been a wait of at least 20-30 minutes, the service is usually (but not always) friendly if a bit slow. But the food has always been great, so I will keep going back. ***Please note: THEY DO NOT TAKE RESERVATIONS!***
