Tillicum Restaurant & Bar, Portland

I like this bar, it has a very warm atmosphere and the girls behind the bar seem to be having a good time. Pours are heavy and the music is well selected. Definatly on the upper end of the scale..Ill continue to go back!

Big fan of the old Tillicum. After reading reviews decided to check it out again last night with 4 friends. Sat outside and waited 25 mins with no service. Had to go to the bar to get drinks and menus. Waited another 20 mins still no waiter. Went to the bar again to order dinner, could'nt do that according to bartender. Finally the bouncer doubling as server takes our order. Go figure out of steamer clams on a friday night. Wait another 30 mins only 3 of 5 dinners arrive and one is wrong. No silverware had to share a fork. The pan fried oysters were absolutely rancid. Could'nt even eat them. Finally after 1hr 30mins we give up and leave. Have to go to bar again just to pay. Told manager of our poor experience...she was clueless and still charges me $50.00. Then states that she will take car of us next time we come in. I can honestly say that will never happen. Too many other restaurants happy to have my business. Oh yeah, it smelled better in there when it was a smoking bar.

The tillicum has improved under new ownership. For one the place is clean, especially the mens restroom. Besides improving some of the cosmetics on the inside of the bar the place has maintained its atmosphere. The menu still has classic tilly food but also new items. The big difference is the quality, really good. The new owner and staff are very friendly, turning it in to a great local Beaverton pub.

Tillicum Club is open, under new ownership. Having never been there before, I can't compare. It was okay, owner says her plan is to bring back the old Tillicum Club atmosphere. Give it a shot.

IT HAS CLOSED BOO HOO The place closed suddenly last week to the shock and awe of the staff. It's a great loss to Raleigh Hills.
