Mad Greek Deli, Portland

Named for its founder, who was told he was crazy to put a Greek deli in the outskirts of Portland, Mad Greek Deli caters to a special taste. Located near Portland Community College's Rock Creek campus and the business and shopping districts of Hillsboro and Beaverton, the deli is popular among blue and white-collar workers. The Gyros Plate comes with two pieces of pita, veggies and feta cheese. Try the roasted chicken, lasagna, burgers, sandwiches and Greek fries. There are a few small tables inside, and the deli also includes a market. The restaurant offers delivery, catering, carryout wines, imported beers and Greek coffee.
