My party had made reservations for five, not aware that the restaurant was to close 30 after our reservation. The meals they serve do come in a five course manner; there was no way we could have finished in 30 min. We were rushed to finish our food and scolded by the manager for staying so long, while the kitchen staff looked on from behind a corner and complained as well. They did not offer an apology for any of it. Horrible will never go back. Does not even deserve one star!
Absolutely the most horrible service I have ever experienced … RUDE, CRUDE AND OBNOXIOUS … The extreamly poor and rude service definitely overshadowed any quality the food may have had if they would have allowed any time to enjoy it … I have never experienced a MORE RUDE group of people … If you are into abuse this is the restraint for you
It's quaint, anf it could be fun for some. If one has difficulty sitting on the floor or eating with fingers it's not so ideal. The service when I went was attentive as possible for one person serving the entire patronage.
The food was too sweet and not not rich enough for me.
An extremely cool, relaxed atmosphere greets one entering Marrakesh and the luxurious poofs and couches are a delight (where can I get some for my house?). Once inside, it's even possible (due largely to the curtains cutting off all outside light) to completely forget that you're still in the U.S. And aside from the environment, the food was amazing. The obligatory five courses comprised an enormous amount of food, more than worth the high price. Vegans, beware, however. It's hard to tell what you're eating and at one point, I realized I was voraciously consuming delicious phylo filled with...eggs! Everyone else, be ready for a prodigiously delicious experience, well worth the price disparity between here and Macdonalds. Highly recommended.
I went here recently with my Sister and two of my neices. I remember it being a better place. My relatives had a good time, and the food was alright I guess, but despite the cool atmoshere ther are better places. I kept watching people who were obviously on first dates. How awkward. First, you kind of sit on the floor and there are no utensiles. Tee Hee. This stuff makes me smile. On the other hand, I know one girl who would have fun here. I think she would giggle and make me smile. I would take her to this place.
