Pudgy's, Seaside

We were there almost by ourselves on a late Saturday afternoon 2/16/08. We were totally unimpressed with the food and service. Given the fact there were a total of 2 occupied tables in the entire place there is no excuse for us to have to sit and look at an unbussed table next to us for the entire length of our meal. The food was so-so. The rice pilaf was over cooked and mushy. The Ahi was served well done when ordered medium rare. It may have been an off time but with so many better options in Seaside we will never bother to try Pudgy's again.

A friend and I went to Pudgy's while in Seaside for a conference. We had Smoked Salmon Clam Chowder, and it was WONDERFUL!!! Keep in mind that I'm not crazy about clam chowder as a general rule, but this was worth writing home about. We had also had dessert. I ordered a Pecan Bourbon pie that was mmmmm rich. Not too rich, though. The cocktail that I ordered wasn't the best, but the food and dessert more than made up for it. Can't wait for my next trip to Seaside.
