I visit this place everytime I visit Seaside! I live in NYC and still long for these bagels. These bagels are not tough and chewey like NYC Bagels (which I love) but instead are more bread like but delicious. The asiago cheese is great, the cheddar and bacon (if I remember correctly) is awesome ad the blueberry is to die for!
You must try the blueberry with strawberry cream cheese. It was recomended buy one of the employees and it was great.
I find there ice tea to be great as well.
I like the fact that is is located in an old 1950-1960 bank building which is a bit mid-century modern in appearance.
A friend and I went to Bagels By the Sea because we had read good reviews of it. NO!!! They close at 3 pm, we were there at 130pm. They had no soup, no turkey, and surpise, no bagels. There was no intention to make anymore, they had to turn away 8 people. I came in for a bagel sandwich, not a bread sandwich. In fact they started cleaning up and were ignoring anyone who came in.
My friend and I shared a mixed berry scone, that I swear came straight from the Bisquick box.
I will never go back. I go to Seaside frequently, and I must say, this business gives that town a bad name.
The bagels are so amazingly good. They have a bunch of interesting bagel sandwiches and awesome smoothies (minus the vanilla cream stuff you can add in as an extra). The place is big and roomy and very clean. Great seating. Great place.
