Food was pretty good (that s why it is even getting a 2 star) but the service was horrible! The owner was rude and the decor in the place is outdated. When you charge those kinds of prices for food, you should get at least good service and the bathrooms should be nice! Not so happy with this place!
I love DeNicola's Restaurant, I have been coming here since I was a child! Their homestyle authentic recipes are delicious, they have a large menu that will have something for everybody...Portions are huge so don't be afraid to share! Never been disappointed yet at DeNicola's!
The food is nice, but we found a horrible service by a rude waitress who brought us wrong wines, refused to admit it and behaved in a rather nasty way (she even lied telling us the wine we wanted was not sold by the glass, whilst their wine list said exactly the contrary). In the end we were charged more for the wine, including a glass of Shiraz we never asked for. I think the owners should be aware of this problem, as this acts against their restaurant.
I was very pleased with the food, but not so pleased with the service. Great pizza, pasta, great location. Waiters need to watch their customers a little more closely, and kitchen needs to get a little speedier. I waited about 40 minutes for my food, but it was well worth the wait.
The menu is unexceptional, and guaranteed not to offend the tastes of unadventurous diners. You won't leave hungry, but you won't feel that you had much of a dining experience for the money you paid, and it's not a great restaurant for a quiet, intimate dinner.
If you want large portions this is a good place. But if you want something outside of regular red sauce spaghetti go else where. The Chicken Parm is a house special but I couldn't find it through the of pizza cheese.
When my children were small, I took them to DeNicola's so that they could see what a real Italian restaurant was like. The decor was exciting, the people delightful, hospitality great and the pizza, We had never tasted any pizza that was as good as DeNicola's was. As we were going out the door, one of my children asked, Mommy, when are we comming here again, so it not only left an impression on my mind, but also on my children. It is 30 years later now and we just happened to go again the other day, and to be honest, the service is the same and it was just like it was 30 years ago. A wonderful place for a family to go and spend a very relaxing evening together, while enjoying the famous De Nicola pizza................
