I probably rated this restaurant higher than I would have otherwise because of the incredible ambience. The Camp 18 Restaurant is located in large log building with rustic hunting lodge appointments. Just being in a building like this gives me a comfortable feeling that is hard to describe. The food was better than decent (but not quite exceptional). I've had better breakfasts elsewhere but my meal wasn't disappointing. The service was friendly and prompt.
Loved the atmosphere--like an old mountain lodge with logs, burl table stands, lodge poles, etc. Food was good and generous portions. Staff were very friendly. The museum would be more effective with pictures/explanations in sequence. But a very unique experience and so glad our friends took us to this site.
I'd give it a 'zero' star if I could.
This is probably the worst food and service I've had in a while.
The food was bland.
We had to ask the server twice just to get 'no-ice' water. Also, nobody came to check on us after the food was served.
We finally paid at the register because our server was nowhere to be found!!!
