I stumbled across the Ponzi Winery and their restaurant on March 11 and was pleasantly surprised. Dining in the restaurant was like stumbling into a show from Food Network. A real restaurant, with real chefs, cooking real, locally-sourced food. The menu is printed twice daily and gives credit to the chefs and the local suppliers which was unusual and informative. I had no idea that Oregon had so many types of food in production. The staff presented us with an amuse bouche which is always a pleasant surprise (pate filled chicken wings with toast point and dressing). The parsnip soup was fantastic and I enjoyed the sliced lamb sandwich. Service was friendly and attentive as was the manager at the end of the meal. I will return to the Dundee Bistro the next time I am in the area.
