Kells Irish Restaurant & Pub, Portland

Visited this place on the weekend. It Rocks! Lots of great people, soccer and beer.

We really like this place a lot and we do visit when we have a chance, I would reccomend this place to all. The one thing though that I have seen and we only go during lunch is that the service is starting to go down hill. After we finally received our food after several others that ordered after us, we never had the attendant come to our table and to check on us. There should be service after the sale.

The happy hour food specials seem like they are smaller versions of what is on the menu. I was there during a birthday party and they bought a round for everyone, so that was nice.

Kell's is such a fun comfortable place to go. I like to go after work or when my daughter comes down from Seattle with my grand daughters. We all go to Kells and the girls love that they throw money on the ceiling. The food is amazing and so are the drinks.

Very LOUD bar. If you are trying to talk with someone you are on a date with AVOID this place at all costs!! If you are trying to get wasted with your friends/significant other then go to this place.. seems like it'd be a fun place for that.. where listening isn't required but drinking is.

Kells is your typical Irish pub…in a good way. The staff is friendly, it’s clean, and you do feel a bit Irish when you’re in there. One nice thing about Kells was that they didn’t plaster the entire place with Guinness paraphernalia and shout, “OK NOW WE’RE AN IRISH PUB!” The décor was cool and fun to look at. They’ve got a big huge stone fireplace to welcome you when you walk in, a good number of tables and cozy private booths, and also a large bar to sit at. My mother had her birthday party celebration with a big crowd of friends and family. The food was exquisitely displayed and delicious. My mom was of Irish ancestry and the owner sang her a lovely Irish song, which made her smile her twinkling eyes. The staff were genuine and efficient when serving us. What a wonderful memory the whole experience was!

The pub was amazing, we initially went in to use the restroom while touring the area (bathrooms were well kept) but ended up coming back to have dinner there before our show! The costumers and staff were all very polite and friendly. A huge plus was that they have a quieter side with a dining area and bar for the more intimate diners and a nice pub atmosphere on the opposite side with a great band and great people (with a huge big screen for good game coverage too!) The food was excellent and nicely priced, the drink selection was wide and for anyone who likes a good lager-I would definitely recommend the house lager. I will go there again when in town, and have already recommended them to friends and family.

My husband and I have been to Kell's several times. I can honestly say I've not had a bad meal there. Staff is very pleasant and happy to accomodate special requests.

This is the best place to be on St. Patrick's day. But any time you spend here is a good time. They always have some sort of live music on the weekends. The food is good, too. Grab your clogs and get over there.
