Bush Garden Japanese Rstrnt, Portland

I am not the biggest sushi fan but I do love this restaurant. I took my daughter there for dinner before going to the theatre and we had a wonderful meal. The setting and ambiance couldn't be better

This was the best food ive eaten in a very long time. i love the decor and the service. and in comparing to other restaurants of the same price the food is supremely better and original, no cookie cutter here. bush garden definately earned a plave in my heart as well as the happy stomach!!! me and my girlfriend commited ourselves to eat here at least once a month for our splurge dinner. love it love it and just love it!!!!!

This is where you take out of town visitors who do not want the ordinary surf and turf. This place is a real treate, and they have always done it with class. I have tried almost everything, and it is great.

The bush garden has the best decor of any Japanese Restaurant in Portland. They have individual tatami rooms where you can put your feet under the sunken table. The sushi and sashimi are excellent. They make some of the best tempura I have ever had.

If you really want the best sushi & the best made rice for sushi, Bush Gardens is the place to go in Portland. For the last 8 years I had been going at least two Fridays a month to eat sushi at Bush Gardens. Superior quality!

Bush Gardens serves a variety of delicious Japanese dishes and serve sushi as well. The atmosphere is very oriental and they have seating areas where you sit on the floor around a table. The staff were friendly and the service attentive. Close to the Max tracks and Pioneer Square.

My kids love the booths. The ambiance needs a lot of work, (very little natural light, it's under a parking garage.) It isn't the best tasting sushi by a longshot. 3.5 stars. One should note that they ARE NOT OPEN ON MONDAYS, and yahoo needs to change that on the list of hours.

this restaurant has great settings, fresh sushi, it's very adult like. although the sushi is a tad bit spendy but well worth it.

Bush Gardens doesn't only have great food,whether Japanese or not,but also has decorations that you would like to take pictures of!10/10 rating!

With every aspect of sushi available to you, Bush Gardens is absolutely fantastic. Located just steps away from a light rail stop in Portland, this restaurant is definitely a stop to consider if one seeks great sushi. A full selection of Nigiri and Inside-out rolls are available, as well as your standard sushi-plate fare are available. I had the Eel rolls, spicy yellowtail rolls, and the flying fish roe nigiri, amongst sampling the rolls my friends had...all fantastic. The nigiri was a bit much for me, but, I'm used to the limited roe we can get in Kansas fresh. From the eccentric staff to the wide variety of seating types available, this restaurant beckons anyone from the casual visitor to the experienced diner to come visit. Be it the traditional shoes off, kneeling, curtained eating area, a stocked bar, or simply up front and personal to the sushi chef, Bush Gardens has it all. Do try it, if only for the atmosphere at the bar! I had the priveledge of eating here, you should try it as well. I almost tried working in a way to get down from Vancouver against my time schedule to get down and have more before I left. Do try it, it'll be worth your time.
