Fresh vegetables and spicy curries define the majority of dishes offered at Thai Peacock, which is popular with businesspeople and bike messengers. It sits between downtown and the artsy Pearl District . The twangs of Thai music will soothe the nerves as gold-plated Buddhas shine and smile at you from each corner of the room. Panang curry is one of the better items on the menu. For the not-so-spicy alternative, Phad Thai is a tantalizing noodle dish that will please the palate.
The Pad Kee Mao was excellent, the atmosphere upstairs was very nice. I want to try a couple other things, but the Pad Kee Mao is too hard to not order. I'm just going to have to go there more often. The waitresses were quick and polite, if perhaps a bit shy. I've been a long time fan of a couple other places and this one is really competing to be my new favorite.
