Jake's Famous Crawfish features more than 30 varieties of fresh fish and seafood flown in daily, making a true Pacific Northwest statement using fresh Northwest products and served in a traditional and timeless presentation. Steak at Jake's? No wonder the reviewer was unhappy. I've been enjoying Jake's for 20 years and it never fails to please. Fish/shellfish prep is superb. Don't forget the berry cobbler!

Ahh...Jakes. I can't say enough good things about this place. I work a swing shift and often stop by on my way home for a bite to eat, they have the best happy hour menu in the city. The ambiance is perfect; wood panels and relatively normal customers, not a lot of dipshit hipsters that infest every other watering hole in this town. Friday and saturday nights can be a bit crowded, and I wish they had a better selection of micros, but those are small considerations when you can get a large bowl of clams in curry sauce or fish tacos for under 5 bucks... there's a reason for the crowds. I've also eaten dinner there many times and it was outstanding, and prices reflect that. But I'm not in there 1 or 2 nights a week eating dinner.

$160 "'Solo' "fine dining experience "...Yuk.2006 Domaine Serene Reserve fantastic!..only item Jake''s wasn't responsible for...Start w/ being left on hold for 8 minutes.Manager acts like bored In-Law @ family reunion. Poor food quality & service.NY Prime Steak quality..NOT!Should be Halo property for Schmicks..It isn't, it has become Schmick's.Give this to entreprenuer..break corp tiesFor people who don't know better.

Busy bustling historic restaurant that served one of the finest seafood meals I've ever had. Superb waitress. I had the Dunginess Crab Leg Sautee and my wife the Fresh Razor Clams -- absolutely terrific! Will be back our next time to Portland. Highly recommend without reservation!

Newcomers looking at the reviews will undoubtedly be confused by the outpouring of great reviews, then some not so great reviews. The reason for this is Jake's sold out to the McCormick and Schmick's people and that is why everything has gone downhill. My husband and I used to regularly go to Jake's and were bowled away by the taste of the food and the amount. Now all you get are smaller portions for more money and the taste leaves a lot to be desired. If you are going to spend that kind of money, get a great meal by going to Higgins. M+S, if we wanted another one of your restaurants, your original rest. would be expanding under it's own name, not by hiding behind an old Portland favorites reputation, that sadly, will obviously never be the same with you in the picture.

Had dinner at Jake's 08-08-09. The service was great, but the food was less than impressive. I had King Salmon ($35) that wasn't as good as Safeway Salmon I buy in AZ.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Portland. The fish was tasty and well prepared. The walls are covered with pictures of PGA golfers that participated in the Fred Meyer challenge golf tournament. I try to visit every time I visit Porltland
