My wife and I have eaten there several times over the years. Great experiences there. Food and customer service has always been great! Prices seem to be a little high but what a great meal. Highly recommend this place. Everything is made form scratch. Excellent
Our experience was a good one........we just happened to be walking by so decided to give them a try......our waitress was fine...not exceptional...but sincere and gave us her attention when needed.....and the food was good too. I've since recommended the place to others.
To start off the service was terrible. Our waitress spoke so softly we could not hear her, and she obviously did not want to say what the specials were. She could barely pronounce the items. She failed to bring the drinks and salad that we ordered. After a lengthy wait we had to ask the manager to bring out the drinks and salad as the waitress was avoiding our table. The food was not the greatest. The sauce was terrible! It had no flavor at all. The cheese and meat were also tasteless. The worst part was having to wait forever to get the check. Our waitress was no where to be found, so we asked the manager who said it would be coming shortly. After waiting fifteen minutes we still had not received the check, and we had to ask the manager again. Finally after 20 minutes of waiting, the waitress finally dropped it on the table as she continued to walk by. The food and service are bad and would recommend going somewhere else.
Our meal at Guido & Vito's did not start out with great expectations since management has just changed hands and the first thing we were greeted with was the fact they did not have a liquor license. To make matters worse we ordered an appetizer only to be told they were out of fresh basil. How is this possible in an Italian joint? We resisted the urge to get up and leave and were pleasantly surprised with the remainder of the meal.
We ordered the garlic gorganzola ciabatta appetizer which was very good. My partner had the florintine ravioli special and I had the veal picatta. Both dishes were very tasty. My only complaint was the garlic mashed potatoes I ordered came underneath the veal and all of the sauce making them overly runny. I would have preferred them to be at the side. In all I would recommend Guido & Vito's to anyone and I would certainly eat there again.
