If I could click on no stars I would. This place is a joke! I don't know what it's like in the day, but when the street lights come on it turns in to a old crack whore show down. Gross! My friend and I showed up to meet some other friends who asked us to meet them there. The music wasn't bad if your into eighties style but the staff, food, drinks, surroundings, and people they attracted could all use a good cleaning. ICKY!!!!!! The bathroom was dirty, something was floating in my drink, the wait staff were rude, and the customers kept trying to pick fights with other customers. All in all a trashy dive with trashier employees and customers
I have been a regular patron of New Hing's for many years because they simply have the best Chinese food I've ever had. Hands down, the quality, quantity and service are better then anything in the Portland metro area that I have ever tasted. The one and only time I ever had a problem with my order, they re-cooked a new item for me and even through in an extra surprise for the inconvenience.
Unfortunately, I now live 3 hours from their wonderful food but everytime I get back to the Oregon City area, you can be sure this is where I'm headed for dinner!
WOOO!, seriously the best Chinese food in oregon city, and the only one that i have walked into and people are actually in there eating. Good prices, good portions. calling ahead your order and picking it up is pretty convenient. I would recommended this place if you want Chinese food in oregon city.
I ordered the Hong Kong meal for 3 people and had it delivered to my home. I paid $45 (including tip) for the most disgusting food I have ever had. Not only will I never eat there again, but I will encourage my community to make another choice. This was not a one time event, this was 3 times in 2 years hoping each time it would get better. Clearly not.
First of all items that were supposed to be in 3s was instead for 2 people. The pork balls for sweet and sour pork were hard as rock pebbles that I wouldn't give my dog. The fried shrimp was burnt and nothing but dough. The only thing decent was the hard noodles which came from a bag.
I was better off sticking with my original plan of a peanut butter & jelly sandwich.
Warning! Parking is tricky, since Main is one-way. Try their reserved spots just past the restaurant on Main. I usually show up and place a to-go order, but they usually offer me a cup of tea while I wait. When I leave, my simple couple of combo orders and a side always occupy a giant bag that will feed twice as many people as I have. Leftovers=good. Basic, tasty Chinese food, served by nice people for a good price!
