5:30 on a gorgeous Monday and we had no problem getting a great seat on the deck overlooking the lake. Drinks were good, food was good and portions were generous but $17.00 is ridiculous for fish and chips and I think $15.00 for ahi tuna on the bar menu . Service was good. Love the deck and the view. Hated the prices.
Wow, what a change in only a few months! I enjoyed this restaurant a year ago, but went in recently and it was B A D ! Service was slow, dinner was ok but not exceptional and these folks must really like themselves for some of the prices on the menu. We actually changed our dinner order as we couldn't see paying what they wanted for some items. The front page and business page of the newspaper must not make it to these folks reading material! Too bad for L.O.
I was a frequent customer of The Lake House over the summer because there is a great view and the seating is right on the lake. I've been in a couple times now during the winter and I have to say I actually prefer it in the winter. The ambiance is very warm and cozy and it's not terribly crowded. The service was wonderful as well, it is obvious they kept only the best servers after the busy summer died down. I will continue to be a regular customer as I have yet to be disappointed.
Great place to have an afternoon or early evening cocktail and watch the sun go down over the lake. Food was perfect and interesting. Service impeccable. Young happy staff. Love watching the boats bringing happy diners across the lake!!!
The setting is great. That is the only positive attribute. The clientele are a bunch of drunks with big ego's and foul mouths. The service is the worst I have ever had. I am not very critical of service either. I have never seen a restaurant that poorly managed. The food was decent but not worth the price especially considering we were eating on a rickety, warped, old picnic table that was infested with spiders and mosquitoes. The most frustrating part about this place is that it has a ton of potential. My hope is that it will be sold to new owners who care about the customer not their ego.
