The place sucked because of the old owner. He did mean well but I don't think he listened too much of what people said they'd like to see. The new owner is pretty cool and listens. By the way, the marque is right and there is some kind of live music on Friday and Saturday nights, also I think karaoke is Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. As for the food, myself, I really can't say since I haven't eaten there in awhile. The bartneders would learn how to pour a better drink though and take the time to satisfy the customer since that is how they make their money. They do have Line Dancing on Tuesday's from 7pm to 9pm
Dive from Hell,,, Toothless Drug users are all that goes in there after 10pm.
From what I have seen they do have some good Country Dance lessons Early --- like from 7pm to 9pm but you don't know what is going on. They don't advertise or put out fliers... Nothing on the Big Lighted Sign out front.!! I would think that with 35,000 cars going past there every day they would think to put up any event they might have... (very Dirty)
the past week sucked, as i was stuck in canby and ate at the spinning wheel. the past few months it was ok. the chef allowed us water for our cooler, and offered us good food plus his personal number to call in orders. he was awesome, and said he would fluctuate from the menu for any one. when we came in a few days ago, the food was no better than a chain restaurant.then we found out from the waitress that the chef quit because he was being outed by the previous manager. was he jealous of a chef that was a team player, that made something work? our crew has 20 people working in the area, and most wont be back. especially me and my crew.
The Wheel is kind of a dive but it's been in business for a VERY long time ~ my parents used to dance there 30 years ago. The line dancing taught by Michael on Tuesday nights and the people who line dance are a blast. The bartender and the hispanic chef are great as well as the taco special and home made salsa. The other menu selections I see other people eating look very good but i haven't been able to resist the tacos to try them! Overall I recommend the place (but the dance floor is starting to get crowded so don't come on Tuesdays lol)
this place has changed (for the better) in the past several months. the food is good and plenty! home made soup (it was hungarian mushroom) was almost a meal in itself. the four of us had steaks, which the menu said 12 oz. but they were bigger than that! and two of us had prime rib which is appropriately called cowboy cut. we were dissappointed they dont have desserts, but we wouldn't have had room anyway. our bill was only $75 for six stuffed men. we had a few drinks in the lounge and enjoyed the karaoke. found out they have live music on occaision and plan on bringing the wives for halloween and the music and dancing. bring a hearty appetite and plan on enjoying yourselfs
