This used to be a nice cheap place to go get quick sushi with the kids. Lately it takes a while to get seated. It just dosent seem set up to get people seated fairly especially if there are more than two in your party. There is a not so pleasant smell that has permeated the place lately too. The kitchen area and bathrooms have been filthy the last few times I have been there. The service has been aloof as well. I asked for some regualar menu items and didnt recieve them from the sushi preparers. I have sat for 25 minutes waiting for an iced tea and apple juice. I dont think I will be going back there any time soon. Not just for the service but the cleanliness.
I love conveyer belt style serving so you can just sit down and grab what you want, when you want it. If you want something special you can always have them make it for you. Most plates are about $1 to 2.50 not bad at all and I get pretty full..
Wakana and I went to Marine Polis or Sushiland as it is sometimes known today. I thought the sushi was ok. She tends to be a bit of a rice snob so I was suprised how much she enjoyed it. Bottom line is this - kaiten zushi is popular in Japan and If you would like to experience conveyer belt sushi, I defintely recommend you try it out.
