I had a long time server that had been very nice to all my family and I for two years come to my table in a crowded room in front of my family to chastise me about a situation that had been going on for two years.I order gluten free pizza ,and if it takes them to long to get it out,I am full when it comes. I was told it was ok to take home two or three small slices of pizza. On this day, however she out of the blue confronted me in front of everyone at my table and in a crowded room of people. Usual the salad is fresh and most people nice. This day however, was a bad Izzy s day.
I really, really hate buffets for exactly this reason: too tempting to go nuts.
And then, if you don’t eat a ton, you always feel like you've been ripped off.
I steer clear.
At Izzys it's not too hard to stay away. I find the quality is just not there. To me it's just not worth it.
Better food quality (for the price) and better price than most buffets. I haven't found a dinner buffet I like better now that Izzy's has made improvements.
We hadn't been to Izzy's for some time and recently returned to find the Buffet has been improved. You can do special order, freshly cooked BBQ Brisket Bones and a couple of other entree's (at no extra charge). Special order Salmon (and at least one other entree) has an additional charge but I have always been too full to desire.
The hot food buffet area is always well stocked. The person I frequent the restaurant with enjoys their baked beans. He gets them by the soup bowl full. I like the large selection at all four areas (specialty cooked, hot bar, salad and dessert bars).
Enjoy their big, fresh, salad bar. My favorites are their specialty salads (Pear, Asian and Ceasar). I also like fresh watermelon and cantaloupe (even in December).
On the dessert bar you have many choices at all temperatures. My favorites of their many hot items are their sticky cinnamon rolls and pineapple cake. (They also have a lava cake my fiend likes.) Two kinds of brownies (I prefer one over the other).
I enjoy their tapioca and frozen yogurt (icy cream).
They have a skylight and lots of windows, making for a bright atmosphere. Comfortably heated and cooled, as needed.
They do a free meal for the Birthday and their service has always been prompt and friendly.
Good eats, prices and vibes making one want to return.
New cook to order was terrible. Burnt. Don't eat
at this restaurant. Hometown buffet is alot better.
Complaints don't get you very far as this is a franchise store and you have to deal with the manager if unsatisfied. Don't waste your money or time.
