Somewhat disappointing. Food was, with some exceptions, fairly bland and flavorless. Everyone was extremely nice, but the service wa still somewhat slow. I don't really rocommend this at the price.

Meet the unexpected. In a unassuming location with simple decor, wonderful food with perfect service.

Food was very fresh and tasty with creative ingredient parings. Only two complaints was that we were waiting to be seated in the tiny hostess area by the elevator, could you not have a proper 'waiting area' if we have to wait for 10 minutes or more? Also, we were dining in a round booth with a large party behind by the bar, leaning over us and complaining of their long wait for another table to leave....most annoying for us....

The service was excellent....food was good, but I left there wondering why I wasn't blown away. They did add a personal touch to my menu though since it was my birthday....the menu was printed with my name and happy birthday on it. Oh the restaurant is right across the street from "Jimbo"(udon place). Now the food!!!! - ahi sashimi on won ton with avocado.....delish. I don't think you can ever go wrong if you put fresh fish on won ton chips and drizzle it with some light sauce. - "da bag"... we got this after seeing the waiter bring what looks like a foil balloon on a plate. This was good...I'm a fan for anything sealed in foil and steamed... especially when it involves seafood, mushroom, and some oinky pig parts! - gf had the ginger crusted onaga which was good but not great...that's what she said I don't think I tried it. - I had the twice cooked ribs which were cooked fork tender but just way too sweet for me...I was only able to finish half of it. Overall, the drinks were really good and unique...food was okay only probably because I was way too hyped up and expected a lot more. I'll probably give it another try and get the tasting menu next time.

Fresh, well prepared, well seasoned food and attentive, knowledgeable service. Have never had a bad experience at Alan Wong's.

Though the dishes are not always successful, it remains one of the three best restaurants on Oahu, and I only know what one of the others is. Sitting at the chef's counter is an enlightening experience.

Food a slight disappointment considering the reputation of this restaurant. The decor was also underwhelming. Service was attentive. With so many other options, I probably won't go back.

Service was extremely attentive. I would not say the food was exceptional but it was very flavorful and very well prepared. I will come back here next time on Oahu especially since Alan Wong is no longer associated with the Halulalai Grill on the Big Island.

AWFUL! Incompetent service where while appetizers are unfinished on the table and the entrees arrive, all under 25 minutes from sitting down. Manager did not "see a the problem" when I told her entrees shouldn't arrive before appetizers are finished. They made no effort to accommodate us notwithstanding our buying a very expensive wine. CHURN and BURN tourist trap mentality. Scornful staff. Avoid IT!!!

Disappointing meal. The kitchen seems to have lost their way. Too many sweet appetizers and mains, which results in reduced complexity and loss of subtlety.
