Food was alright. Opakapaka was good, but my gf can make better. Nice atmosphere though

We've eaten at more places than we can count around the world, and Orchids is the best of all! The food, service and ambience can't be beaten anywhere. Get there early, catch a table on the lanai overlooking the dance floor and musicians, and watch the sunset at Diamond Head. Beautiful - good for the stomach and even better for the soul.

The best place on the island, but expensive. Outdoor dining and quiet/private. If you want to tell someone you love them, propose, have an affair out of the public eye, site celebrities, celebrate a birthday, etc. this is the place to do it. As a bonus: there is not kids menu so you won't see many of them!

We just had Christamas dinner at Orchids 2006 . the dinner was $65 each of , great food, good service more than it .

I've been to Orchids at Halekulani for my honeymoon two years ago. Let me tell you that the food was beyond amazing. It definitely made my palate sing. Their service was over the top. There is always a, what I call, plate man, who goes around checking if you are done with your plate and silverware. He promptly takes the dishes away once you are done so you don't get over crowded with plates... a definite plus for a romantic evening. The waiter was also extremely nice and polite. When I asked for more lavosh... he did not hesitate to give me more. Not to mention dessert was on the house... and let me tell you that I still have dreams of that tantalizing dessert. Definitly a resaurant to go to when in the area.

Great service, wonderful food and a beautiful sunset. Not cheap by any means, but worth every penny... I can't wait to go back. I loved it!

The food was phenomenal,probably the freshest, most delicious seafood I have ever had. The service was top notch- we wanted for nothing and the view of the beach was incredible. Exactly what you would imagine for a Hawaiian vacation.

We went to Orchids for lunch the second day of our honeymoon in 2005. We are still raving about the meal a year later to friends that are going to visit Hawaii. We let them know it is a must. We both had the Spicy Tuna Tempura. My hubby had the fish and I tried the Curry dish - both were great. The staff was really friendly and attentive...even spliting a slice of cocunut angel food cake for us. Can't wait to go there again.

We were ate here last night. The food here was good but that's not the entire story. The staff was friendly and attentive. They never stop trying to please you. We both had fish and it was fresh and tasty. It rain outside but the feeling here is warm and cozy. We will eat here again.
