Hee Hing Restaurant, Honolulu

I had 15 relatives from the mainland visiting, so hosted a family dinner of 23 people at Hee Hing. The general manager (David Koc) arranged for us to have a private room (and providing us with an extra table for the kids to play games on before dinner and an extra table for gifts), and accommodated our request for special meals for food-allergic guests, and otherwise bent over backwards to make our visit special, including visiting with every table to introduce himself and ensure that the food and service was great. We really appreciated his personal attention. We selected the Quince menu, which was superb. Every dish was delicious and plentiful. The wait service by Serena was excellent, polite and attentive. I highly recommend with 5 stars! Best Chinese restaurant in Hawaii!

June,2011, went there for dim sum lunch,was not too busy on this day, so the selections is limited, still we enjoy the food and the services, price is very reasonable,small plate is 2.75 and large is 4.75,we will be back. On Kuhio take # 13 bus to one stop before Campbell St, walk half block to Hee Hing, then after lunch take #14 bus for 3 stops ,you get to Lenoard's bakery for the famous Masalas buns.

Food is good but the service is bad. Some of the waiters are especially rude. Prices are on the high side but quality is good. Might recommend it for parties but not otherwise.

Crowded, but hey it's popular! The menu selection was excellent and the food was Simply OUTSTANDING! The desserts and fresh baked snacks are a WINNER!

Ok I live here in Waikiki, and grew up in San Francisco. I love chinese food and this is the best I have had in a long tome.Prices are very reasonable. We Decided to go with old standbys.....Potsickers, Kung Pao chicken, Beef with Broccoli and Mu Shu Pork. All were excellent.The kung pao chicken was great ...moist chicken with a spicy sauce. not too many peanuts and none of the ubiquitous red peppers most places use.This was some of the best Chinese food i have ever eaten! The service was excellent and very courteous and efficient. Parking is easy valet. Prices are great for Waikiki/Honolulu, and the room is aesthetically pleasing. I can't sat enough about what a pleasant experience it was! My husband doesn't usually like chinese food.He was prepared to suffer through but he couldn't stop raving about how good it was! Highly recommended!

Hee Hing definitely gets two thumbs and a toe up. I mean this restaurant has absolutely gotten me hooked. Every dish that I have tried has been prepared perfectly. The staff is extremely friendly, professional and efficient. The Lee family has definitely hit a home run with this restaurant. The dim sum is highly recommended to everyone who enjoys high quality, broke da mouth type food. Not to mention all the entrees that I've tried made my salivary glands go wild. This is absolutely the best Chinese restaurant in the state of Hawaii. No one even compares. If you try any of the other Chinese restaurants you will notice the difference not to mention waste your money! After dining at Hee Hing I am certain that I will not dine at another Chinese restaurant ever again. This is how much kudos I am giving Hee Hing. In fact, I will go as far as to say that I can guarantee that you will love the restaurant just as much as I did. I highly recommend that this restaurant be the first choice for anyone who is celebrating a birthday, wedding, graduation or any other special event. The staff will ensure that you will have the best dining experience ever! Trust me everyone you will not go wrong by visiting Hee Hing. After one visit I have been hooked and I'm sure you will be also. Who ever wrote the I don't think so... comment below must have been on drugs or visited another Chinese restaurant by accident thinking it was Hee Hing. It could have been both, who know's?

Hee Hing is by far the best Chinese restaurant in Hawaii. Not only is the food to die for but the ambiance and the friendly staff were excellent. My family and I ate there once a couple of years ago and have been going back at least once a week. The dim sum is onolicious and the dinner entrees were perfectly prepared. I am not amazed that this place has been around all these years. I highly recommend Hee Hing to anyone want enjoys extravagantly prepared authentic Chinese dishes. I can guarantee that you will like this place and continue to go back. A Hui Hou!!!!!

This place is pretty good. Take it from a local they give you alot of food, and everything is tasty. I definately would suggest this place to all my friends.

We've been there a couple of times and always had great experience. We like it so much we had my Grandma's 90th birthday there and the service was great. They do a great job with the food and the service.
