Mixed drinks were weak. Fried Rice was barely fried, Mahi Mahi was plain, and waiter initially brought out dirty silverware. Only the Honey Walnut Shrimp was redeeming. Avoid this place despite their Steak and Seafood gimmicks.

Avoid this place, period. Food was not even Chinese: You order stake and they give you A1 source... Not an honest business. Portion size was small, drinks not showing price on the menu. And they add 15% tip to your bill without your acknowledgement.

This is an awful place! The food is ok, but the service is bad! An older waiter took our drink orders, but he totally forgot about it, so we had to order them again with a younger waiter. One small bowl of rice is $2 and they never tell you the rice do not come with the dishes (as other places do). We waited very long until we got the food. In the end, although they state in their menu that they only automatically add tips for parties of six or more, they added tips themselves anyway for our party of four including two kids. That was an awful experience! Avoid it if you can.

Best Chinese Food in Waikiki!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/11/07
I took my whole family there and we had the best Chinese food ever! The honey glazed walnut prawns were to die for! The Dim Sum was expertly made and the service was right on the mark. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking authentic Chinese Cuisine!

Don't eat here, total rip off
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/29/07
I tried this restaurant on a recent trip to Waikiki. I love Chinese food and enjoy making it as much as eating it. So I ordered a few dishes I knew I would enjoy, including a steamed sea bass dish. When the food came, what I got was fish, but it wasn't sea bass. I asked the waiter what it was, and he argued that it was sea bass. I then asked to speak with the manager, and when she arrived, she took the dish away and advised that the restaurant was out of sea bass today, that she didn't know until she had placed the order with the chef, and the chef thought that it was ok to just serve this instead. I then asked the manager what it was, and she replied she didn't know! I'm sorry, but if you're out of something, let me know so I can order something else. If I hadn't noticed that it wasn't sea bass, they never would have told me, and charged me full price. I don't think that's honest and I would never eat at this restaurant again, nor would I recommend it to anyone. You just might not get what you order!

Thank You
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/22/06
This was our second time in Hawaii, we enjoyed very much. Besides the beaches, we also enjoy dining at a Chinese restaurant in the Hyatt Hotel. We stayed in Waikiki for four days, we had dinner there 2 times and 1 time for lunch. They offen some of the best Dim Sum we have had, best of all the Dim Sum are so fresh because it's made when order compare to most places we went to which everything was made and sitting in the cart for who know how long. For dinner, the waitress recommended live seafood, we had live steam fish an apertizer and 2 more side dishes, WOW fish was so fresh and cook perfect and others were good too. The service was great, they even change our plates for each dish, the staffs were very friendly, and the manager also came to our table to check on us which made us felt welcome. We went back again before returning home it was the same great service and great food. Thank you Seafood Village for everything and see you all again next Summer.

A Bug in the dish and still got charged full price!!
By MiawRong j, 9/6/06
This place is terrible. First, the portion was very small for the price ($10 for veggie/ tofu). Second, the taste is not good (I am an Chinese, I can do better than that). Worst of all, we found a bug totally well-done,lying on the dish when we almost finished it. Of course, we stopped eating and asked for check. Show the bug to both manager and the waitress, none of them apologized. When the bill arrived, we found we still got charged for that bug-added dish---FULL PRICE. Worst dining experience in Hawaii. If you want Chinese food, go International Market Place Food Court. It tastes better, cheaper, and in this case, I believe it is cleaner.

Don't waste your money!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/15/06
This restaurant was rip-off. It was way over priced(they even charge you for small bowl of rice!) for amount of food. I can get same dish for 1/3 of the price and alot better tasting around my local chinese restaurant. The food was mediorcher. Staff were rude. Save your money and go some where else.

What a waste of time.
By Steven L, 5/8/06
This place was so mediorce. If you want Hong Kong style chinese food, might as well go to China Town In NYC. The food here is horrible, don't ever get the surf and turf. If You want steak and lobster go to an american place. The service here is horrible also, there was like a million of empty tables and they made us wait like 5 minutes to seat us, I guess they are racist cause I was asian. If you want Chinese food in Hawaii, try to take a few minutes out of your time and travel to Downtown Honolulu.
