Comfort Food with a capital C

Well, I have lived on Nuuanu for 2 years and never gone into this resturant. I had been having a bad week and my B/F, a fellow Irishman, took me here. We had the most amazing lambshank braised in wine with root vegetables, served with mashed potatoes. It was so big that we shared it. The soup of the day was a shrimp bisque which plenty of shrimp. The lamb simply fell off the bone and melted in my mouth. It was comfort food to the maximum. I enjoyed all theses flavors with a nice Black Lable scotch on just 2 rocks...lol as my B/F tries to make me a scotch drinker. We topped this off with the bread pudding, it was sinful, soft and warm, with carmel sauce and vanilla ice cream.
The funny thing is, the next day when my girlfriend was having a bad day...I took her there (sans the scotch)! Excellent value, even if you didnt split the entrees.
