We travel to Oahu about 4 times a year. Yes it is an older resort, but its quiet, the people who work there go out of their way to make you confortable. How about the area the homeless people live. Could you think of a more beautiful place. There are plenty of areas to go and enjoy the beaches. I love the drive, it takes you away from the crowds. I have always loved staying here and will continue to. You must look further then a bed or a few bugs. I think if you want a beautiful, quiet, and welcoming place, not close to all the action, then you will find Makaha perfect. If you want total elagance, people, shiney and new then stay on the other side of the island. PCV
