DO NOT EAT HERE! When we walked in Molly s kid was sitting in a corner table babysitting himself with a nice rack of ribs. The rack I ordered had nowhere near the amount of meat the kid s had. The 20 minute fried chicken took more like 45 and tasted burnt. When I complained about it, Molly snapped on the waitress who was gonna give me a refund. The menu is a joke with more than half the items crossed out. DO NOT EAT HERE!

I've been to Molly's Smokehouse in Wahiawa several times over the last two years. I'm not impressed with the side items except for the cornbread...everything else is mediocre. The cornbread is super and sweet. Your best bet for tender meat is to buy the beef briquet by the pound -- you get cornbread muffins along with the meat...one muffin for every 1/2 pound of meat. You absolutely CAN NOT count on the pork short ribs being tender. I like my ribs falling off the bone and the ones there are not at all. You have to chew the meat off of the bone...yuck - chewy short ribs. Bought 3 lbs this evening and have decided to never buy ribs there again. $39 for 3 lbs of tough ribs! In the future it will be only beef briquet for me. If they'd smoke the ribs long enough and get them really tender then I'd rate higher...isn't that the whole idea of slow smoking meat, to get it TENDER? If the beef brisquet is not excellent when I try it at Molly's the next time we go, then I'm finished with this establishment.

What a disapointment!!!! We have eaten here before and loved it. The food seems to be going down hill ever since!! I placed an order to go, we were not only shorted food but the food was over seasoned. The cole slaw had to much pepper and the pulled pork was way to salty. I called to let them know we were shorted a half rack of ribs and the told me I would have to drive all the way back with the food and then they might do something. Living 25 minutes away it would have cost me more money in gas then what it was worth. That was our LAST time to visit this establishment!!! If you order take check your food before you leave.

My husband and I ordered our dinner to go and the service was friendly and speedy. My husband's baby back ribs and corn on the cob was DELICIOUS. My catfish and shrimp was OK but the collard greens and corn bread were WONDERFUL. At first we were skeptical about ordering soul food in Hawaii, but we were very impressed. Their prices were a little pricey too.

If I could I would give NO STARS! I see that the reviews have been declining in enthusiasm and my experience was the worst. I have had better BBQ, and the service was slow and disorganized. After 1/2 hour of waiting, it was the cook who came out to take our order. At one point the cashier was taking orders. When our dinners arrived almost an hour later, they were cold. We even had to wait to pay the bill!! BBQ + Anger = Indigestion

Molly's Smokehouse is alright. It will do if you don't feel like cooking your own soul food. the prices are a bit steep for the portions you get. If you want to try some different. Go to MOM's in Waipahu. Southern portions at southern prices. Pass the plaza with USA BABY and take the next left in a smaller plaza. It's in the cut so be on the look-out. Not knocking Molly's but it could be alot better.

It was okay but not somewhere I would go all the time. I had the seafood gumbo and fish and rib platter and it was horrible. The seafood gumbo was just scraps of seafood it was more shells than anything. The ribs were not all the that good because you could taste the smoke. I am from the south and when the ribs are smoked you are supposed to get a hickory taste not smoke. The catfish was good but not something to write home to mom about. The prices are a little bit high for what you get.
