We went there for my husband s bday. First of all, idk why the waiter suggested a more affordable meal which we can share with the whole family. We weren t even asking for such kind of deal. Then to top it off, our meat weren t cooked the way we wanted. Our dish had to go back to be cooked more. Even if we were given a gift certificate, we wouldn t go back there. Pls don t judge people whether they can afford or not.
I've eaten a privately catered dinner here before and everything was delicious (though a bit slow). I was expecting a similar experience the next time around. I was led into a small overcrowded room and couldn't believe it. I had to sit right next to the person I was with just to hear him. One thing I generally rate restaurants on is timeliness. It took: 15 minutes to get our drinks, another 15 minutes before we ordered and another 30 minutes (this was expected) to receive our food. It was my party's birthday and the waiter had know this but forgotten. When reminded we got a dessert of our choice within a timely manner. We entered the restaurant at 6:30 and left at almost 9:30. I'm a big fan of enjoying a meal and taking my time but this was ridiculous.
If you go here I suggest you keep this in mind:
-the side portions are small (no matter what the waiter/waitress says)
-come with good company because you'll be there for a while
-if you're thirsty be ready to stay that way, I was never asked if I wanted a refill (although the water guy was awesome!)
-be ready to order something they're out of (this happened twice!)
-expect decent steak but nothing else
Its still just a steak joint: The steaks aren't too bad but can be tough and chewy.Other than that there's very little remarkable about this place. Everything is ala carte and everything is very expensive. I've been to the one on Maui and its no better and even more expensive (I'm a slow learner). I guess this is a splurge type of outing for most folks. I can roast a fine prime rib at my house with all the fixins for a party of six for less than one meal at Ruths Chris, Much better too.
Wonderful food, but very very pricey. i think 100 for two people is a little much. Allof the sides are famiy sized portions. should cut that down. and have a little more room to eat. we couldn't even have elbow room.
I'm sorry but if I am spending $100 bucks for two people to eat, I'd like a bit more room. We had to keep our chairs as closely tucked into the table as possible so as not to hit the diners next to us. The resturant wasnt very busy there were many empty tables but it seemed that everyone who was dining there that night all got sat in the same small section. The tables were so close you HAD TO walk single file. For the price of the food, that is just uncalled for. Is the food good? Well, yes, but quite frankly I've had steaks at places costing me half the price and it was just as good with more room to sit. I can not justify to myself paying that price for the food and dealing with the close proximity of the other diners. I'm give it 3 stars only because the waiter was extremely nice and the food was good. I'd give less expensive places a better rating though.
