Old Spaghetti Factory, Honolulu

The restaurant has a great, old time feel to it with an overlook of he pier. Our server was not attentive and we were left without drinks, food or contact for long periods of time. The manager, however, did take care of the situation and ended up comping the bill. We only had the salad and soup, but the soup was delicious. I would go back to try the pasta.

This may be the best place in Honolulu to take your kids. Mavro does not work here, but he does not really make mac and cheese either. The quality of the food depends a lot on what you order, ranging from kinda poor to pretty good. For each specific dish is it very consistent. Due, I think, to the lost cost of the meals, the service staff does not really last that long. It seems like they come in green, get trained, and then move on to other places where they can make more. Because of this the quality of the service can vary quite a lot. Sometimes it is awesome, usually is is pretty good, rarely it is poor. Either way the kids don't mind: they like the food and the atmosphere. If the parents can relax, find dishes they like, and not get in a tizzy if the service is a litte green, a fun time can be had by all for about the same cost as eating at home. I'm putting five stars as a family restruant. I would not take a date or business meeting here. Unless they were bringing their kids.

Poor food. Poor service. Screaming kids. Avoid and just open a can of spaghettios, it'll taste the same.

Great ambiance, food not so great. The red sauce taste like its right out of the bottle. It was so busy, they waiter forgot to take someone order at out table, didn't refill out water without being asked, just not one of my favs.

I was very pleased! I had the #3. I believe it's best to get a combo! For about $12.75 you'll get bread, salad, your meal, plus spumoni for desert! -And that's a great price for all that! -It's good too! Oh, and the atmosphere is cute and very antique!! :) Love all the stained glass! And my service experience was great!

The ambiance is amazing and this place is full of fond memories. I always enjoy the food and service. The best Old Spaghetti Factory I have visited by far.

The Honolulu Old Spaghetti Factory has gone down hill and if there was a worst restaurant in the chain this one would surely be it. The garlic cheese bread came out cold, the waitress acted like she was doing us a big favor by waiting on us, the silverware had crusted bits of food on them and had to be replaced, one of our glasses still had a smudge of lipstick on it and was not replaced thus avoided, the table hadn't been wiped prior to our seating, but the pasta although not as good as it had been was decent. I may not make the effort to return.

DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! The service was awful our waitress looked like she hadn't washed her hair ever, her overall appearance was disgusting as was the establishment it's self. The bathrooms were horrid. The food was disgusting. My husband and I will NEVER stray from The Macaroni Grill again. If you want good food go to the Macaroni Grill if you want to throw your money away go to this place.

I'm a local resident of Hawaii, born and raised, so I've eaten here MANY times, mostly as a kid. I had to wirte this because I read the review to leave your kids at home?!?!! That guy was nuts! Old Spaghetti Factory was made for kids! There's a cute street car you can get a table in that kids LOVE and their other tables have an old victorian Kings and Queens feel that kids also enjoy. Every kid gets the typical coloring mat and crayons, and they also get a plastic bib to keep their clothes clean and a handy wipe. The place is always buzzing so kids fit right in. I have my kids birthday partys here all the time! As for the food, it's ok. Kids will love it, what kid doesn't like spaghetti? As for the adults, it's good, but not great in my opinion. You get alot for your money, but you also get what you pay for. They are known for their sourdough bread that should be served hot with two choices of butter. Then you choose between soup or salad if you're getting their complete meal deal and your choice of drink. As for the pasta, I don't care for their marinara or clam sauce. Their alfredo, lasagna (when they have it), and stuffed ravioli are pretty good. I've learned to stay away from their specials of the day,cause I've always been disapointed. This is hard for me because I'm adventurous and always like to try something new! Stick to the favorites and you'll be ok. Dinner is finished off with their famous spumoni ice cream, this I admit I do love!

I've eaten at restaurants all over the world including French Riviera, Paris, Hong Kong, Geneva, Hawaii etc. and The Old Spaghetti Factory in Honolulu is a very nice place to enjoy a meal in an exquist enviroment of European antiques which is rare in America, with a family atmostphere, diligent service amongst all the business they have and the food is very good and very economical.
