The charm of an early 1900's sugar cane town, Charlies is built in one of the original buildings. The food is excellant with large portions. Service is personal and speedy, most are local and have worked there for 19-20 years. If you are lucky enough to meet the owner, Jim, you will find him personable and gracious. Having run his restaurant for 37 years he knows everyone and the history of the town Enjoy the aloha spirit!
Don't Go to this Bar!!!
They provide parking in the rear, but they don't tell you that you'll get a parking ticket!
I was a customer at this place and spent a lot of money on really bad food, and then I get a $35 parking ticket because I parked longer than I should have. There are no signs indicating how long one can park there. It's a trap for tourists. Watch out!
The food was great, and the price was not too dear. The ambience was very comfortable, like place I had been numerous times in the past. We ate there first thing they opened in the morning which was probably part of the problem, but one of our servers was very, very friendly, the other on was a little gruff.
