We went to this restaurant last year twice and thought it was good so this time while back on Maui we tried it again. we ordered the hot and sour hotpot and the waiter brought out a sweet and sour fish stir-fry.we told the waiter we did not order that dish and he got it wrong. instead of taking the dish back and getting us the right dish, the Waiter fought with us on our order. i had to argue with him in vietnamese as he didnt seem to understand English well. The owner or another person came and offered to redo the right dish. This was the worst experience ever. Never will we be back. My daughter was sold upset she didn t eat the dish and the waiter asked why she didnt eat it. Can you believe the audacity. Never did he apologize. We will NEVER be back. The food was terrible this time also.
Could the food spilled on my clothes and floor by the server have been better than the food on the plate-nope! This was a disaster. We live here and a friend and I decided to step in to have some ice teas and an summer roll appetizer. With stern faces they demanded. is that all you want? The waiter accidentally dropped the dipping sauce that splattered all over my white shirt-no apology-in fact, I had to flag them down (there was only one other diner) to get me something to clean my clothes off with. She came back with a wash and dry towlette We cleaned the carpeting for them - they just left the globs there and got us a replacement. . So, back to the food, dried out summer roll-not fresh. Score - a big 0, old food, no aloha, and downright poor service. had a disappointing experience a few years ago (very small portions)-now I remember why I didn t go back. Oh, and my shirt is trashed - a pricy snack for negligible service and cuisine.
We LOVE this restaurant!!! This is our favorite restaurant anywhere!!!! (We live in Kihei and eat here at least once a week.) We can't get enough of the food here! The vegeatables are fresh and plentiful and the dishes on the menu are absolutely delicious! The food comes from the kitchen in a blink of an eye! The service is friendly prompt and the place is impeccable! Our favorites are crispy noodle with beef, crispy chicken, crispy shrimp with skin, clam soup, green papaya salad and boo-lui with beef ( a Vietnamese burrito you have to wrap) ( sp.)
Don't miss this place! You'll regret going anywhere else in Kihei!
Small Vietnamese Restaurant in Azeka Makai Shopping Center near Baskin Robbins. I had the Banh Hoi and my husband had Pho Tai. Both were very flavorful and fresh. Reminds me of authentic home cooking. Good prices and large portions. Friendly service. Air-conditioned.They only take Visa/MC.
