Nick's Fishmarket Maui
Nick's Fishmarket Maui, located at the spectacular Fairmont Kea Lani Maui, offers the finest in local and mainland seafood in a lush, tropical paradise setting. The romantic flair of the Mediterranean is seen in the restaurant's decor from the rich earth tones of its color scheme, to the crisp white curves of its enchanting architecture. Patrons dining outdoors will fall under the spell of overhead, vine-covered trellises with fragrant stephanotis blossoms and sparkling lights, while looking out over the lush grounds of the hotel and onto the beautiful ocean view. Innovative, classic cuisine is the focus of this premier restaurant. Specialties include fresh Opakapaka, Mahi Mahi, Ahi, Opah, Hawaiian Spiny Lobster, and standards such as Prime New York steak, Rack of Lamb and Greek Chicken. Whether it be a romantic dinner, a family celebration, a business function or just a night out with friends, Nick's Fishmarket Maui is the Valley Isle's first choice in dining.
My husband and I had a dinner date at Nick's tonight and it was excellent! The ambiance was romantic, the food were delicious, and the service was wonderful. I had the Opakapaka special while my husband had the Ahi. We both enjoyed our dinner and will definitely go back there for another special date. I wished we tried the flaming strawberry dessert, but by the time it's dessert time I was already so full I decided not to order a dessert and just tasted some of the cheesecake my husband ordered. The cheesecake was fabulous, I had their famous Greek Maui Wowie salad and that was a treat to the palette. It's actually a meal in itself. I highly recommend Nick's Fishmarket.
Absolutely fabulous! Had dinner there tonight, at 6:30...Gorgeous sunset which we could see from the patio...Attentive staff, great food, good wine...Creme brulee didn't set up but it tasted great...Wonderful meal, fair prices, fabulous setting...Had dinner at Capische? the other night and while the food and setting were fabulous, you can't beat the sound of the surf while dining on Maui...Strongly recommend...
i recently stayed at the fairmont--the concierge desk recommended nick's since it is on the premises--what a mistake--i ordered a fresh oyster dish which i thought would be a good choice at a seafood restaurant--bad assumption--bad oysters on the plate--after i rejected the dish, the manager offered no apology and simply asked if i wanted to order anything else--when i questioned him, he snidely remarked that he had deducted the offending dish from my check--i will not return--the balance of the food was mediocre at best-the service level was no better--for a truly great meal go to duo--outstanding food, great wine list and impeccable service
Food was generally very good. Service OK. Took two steps out the door, realized our digital camera was left on the table. Immediately went back....everything cleared off already! Camera gone. ?????? Still waiting since January for an explanation.
Nick's was the highlight of eating in HAwaii. Most of the food in Hawaii was fair at best. Nicks was outstanding. Instead of going to other restaurants we stuck iwth Nicks. Service was top notch, and the AHI Mignon was to die for. You'll pay, but well worth the experience. Anyone who thinks otherwise probably is a little over critical. Coming from a family with a 4 star restaurant, I think Nicks fits that label as well.
