Mexico may be a long way from Kaua'i, but the food served here is about as authentic as Mexican food gets. The restaurant has been an island fixture for more than 30 years. Resist the temptation to fill up on tortilla chips and house-made salsa; every dinner entree comes with vegetables, rice, beans and soup. Food is prepared in the most health-conscious manner possible (no lard), without sacrificing any of the flavor.
