Lived in San Diego across from Mexico until 5 years ago when moved to big island best mex food and margaritas on island lots of locals there

Great bar and Epoe, Jules and Kimberly are great. Good Happy hour and good food.

We love this place! Best Mexican in Kona Village. We go at least twice a month... and they also have Tight Wad Tuesday (don't forget the coupon in Tues. Newspaper) if you are on a budget. We own the Kona Sugar Shack Vacation Inn and the Coconut Condo and Pancho and Lefty's has been in our top five reccommended places for our guests to eat forever. Never have we had a complaint. Yolanda is our favorite waitress. She is wonderful and worth waiting for one of her tables. Sly and all the bartenders are fun too. It is ONO, Enjoy!

probably because is the only major mexican restaurant in Alii drive people think is the best but our experience was not good... first of all the waitresses barely know what they serving, chips were greasy and the salsa tasteless, drinks price are not in the menu and probably you'll know why! VERY EXPENSIVE for a such a 8oz glass of whatever it was!! we waited for the food for 20 min, food was ok and drinks!!??? NAH!.. when we asked for the bill OOHH MYYY GOOOOSSHHH!! YOU GUYS ARE KIDDING ME..!! THE BILL WAS ALMOST 150.OO FOR WHAT!!?? so i don't want to sound cheap but knowing the hawaii is EXPENSIVE 'tis was ridicuolous anyhow buying a snack like twinkies will cost you 2.56 plu taxes!!? so.. go figure!!anyways back to the restaurant so if you go there it will be between 25 to 30 dlls per person try to make your money worth it otherwise you will be dissapointed like us..

The chips and salsa are the best i've ever had!!! The food is awesome, definitely go eat there if you are in kona!!

Ive been going to Panchos for many years in Kona and always had an awesome time. I would give it a 5 star rating except for the elevator for hadicapped patrons has been broken for about 2 years and the restrooms need a lil work. But the food is awesome.... A great prime rib! ( In a mexican joint!) and they have food for everyone here not just mexican. Drinks were good...all the bartenders were awesome! Sly ( a character!) Winnie ( a tattooed hottie!) Pia (real sweetheart) and Ipo ( this guy knows kona inside and out and can make you any type of drink you can conceive). Anyone that posts a negative review about the bartenders there mustve been asked to leave for being a jerk. Youll love it! And try the besos calientes! Cheese stuffed shrimp wrapped in bacon! yum! They have lots of great tequilas too!

We went to Pancho's for Happy Hour...twice, probably more if we had discovered it sooner. We are from San Diego and have tried lots of different mexican restaurants and Pancho's tacos were some of the best. We would definately suggest checking them out and plan to return ourselves.
