Po's Kitchen, Lihue

Po's Kitchen is a family run Japanese bento spot that is unique and enjoyable. Located in a small strip mall just about a mile from the Lihue Airport, this eatery is a local hot spot that specializes in Japanese delicacies. Stop in early for the best selection, since the likes of cone sushi, shrimp tempura, noodles and teri steak will certainly be gone before noon. It's a wonderful spot to pick up a bento lunch and head off for a visit to Hanalei or the Waimea Canyon, or you can just go straight to a picnic table at Poipu and enjoy your lunch with an ocean view. - Lottie Tagupa
